Participation Mechanism and Terms and Conditions

Promotion Name: Simbanking Campaign
Campaign Duration: 10 Months

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

  2. Participants must be CRDB Bank customers.

  3. CRDB Bank staff members are not eligible to participate in this promotion.

  4. Participants must be either new retail customers who have not transacted for more than 30 days, new users of SimBanking who have not transacted for more than 30 days, or inactive SimBanking users who have not transacted for more than 90 days.

  5. By participating, customers consent to CRDB Bank publicly disclosing, transmitting, and publishing their personal details, photographs, videos, and/or voice, including on television, radio, the internet, and other media.

 

Game Participation:

  1. The promotion is open to individual CRDB Bank retail customers with newly opened accounts who have never transacted, new users of SimBanking who have never transacted, and inactive SimBanking users.

  2. Qualified customers will receive an SMS with a link to the CRDB Bank website (crdbbank.co.tz), where they can play the game and win cash prizes.

  3. Each participant can play the game once using one device (either a laptop or smartphone) and must use the same phone number registered with their CRDB Bank account.

  4. By participating in the game, players agree to:
     Play honestly without using bots, scripts, or any automated tools.

  5. Avoid exploiting bugs, glitches, or loopholes for unfair advantage.

  6. Any cheating or unauthorized activity may result in penalties, including suspension or forfeiture of rewards.

  7. The game link in the SMS will expire 3 days after being sent. Participants are encouraged to play within this period.

 

Transaction Requirements

  1. These apply to customers who aim to qualify through transactions:New accounts and new users of SimBanking who have not transacted for more than 30 days must transact through the SimBanking channel with transactions above 100,000/- within 30 days.

  2. Inactive SimBanking users who have not transacted for more than 90 days must transact through the SimBanking channel with transactions above 150,000/- within 30 days.

 

Qualifying transactions include:

  1. All Simbanking transactions except TV, UTT, Precision Air, SADAKA, airtime purchases, account inquiries (except balance checks via the SimBanking App), and CRDB-to-CRDB transfers.

  2. Eligible Accounts: All current accounts, excluding savings accounts.

 

Winners and Rewards:

  1. Winners will be verified in accordance with the terms and conditions of the gamification promotion.

  2. Winners will be announced via CRDB Bank’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), partner radio stations, and other media outlets. Testimonials may be requested.

  3. Prizes of TSh 10,000/- and TSh 15,000/- will be awarded to the first 100 monthly winners, depending on whether the customer is new (never transacted) or inactive.

 

Monthly Prize Distribution:

  1. The first 100 winners of new accounts and new SimBanking users who transacted above 100,000/- will each receive TSh 10,000/-

  2. The first 100 winners of inactive SimBanking users who transacted above 150,000/- will each receive TSh 15,000/-

  3. Rewards will be credited directly to winners’ CRDB Bank accounts. An SMS notification will be sent to confirm the prize has been deposited.

  4. Prizes will be disbursed within 7 working days after the game link is sent.

  1. We collect personal data when you apply for or use our products and services. This includes your name, contact details, identification, financial information, and transaction history. This data is used to verify identity, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintain communication regarding your account and services.

  2. We protect your data with robust security measures to ensure confidentiality and integrity and retain it only as long as necessary.

  3. By accepting these terms, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your personal data with third parties where necessary for the delivery, improvement, and management of banking services. This may include service providers, partners, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions. We ensure such third parties are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.

  4. Your data will be used solely for legitimate business purposes in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  5. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data and to object to its processing.
