• Post-harvest solutions, technologies, and practices. 

• Purchasing or building greenhouses. 

• Building a water reservoir or digging a well to collect rainwater for irrigation. 

• Purchasing and installing solar-powered irrigation pumps. 

• Drip irrigation or upgraded channel farming. 

• Mixed crop farming. 

• Crop rotation farming. 

• Terracing to reduce water runo  on slopes or hills. 

• Purchasing or producing organic fertilizers (manure,  plant residue, food waste, etc.). 

• Purchasing drought-resistant seeds recommended by  experts. 

• Hydroponic farming (soil-free agriculture). 

• Planting windbreak trees to protect crops. 

• Purchasing mulching materials to increase soil moisture. 

These loans from CRDB Bank aims to increase the resilience  of food crop farmers to climate change e ects, enabling  them to a ord technology or practices to purchase better  farming tools, especially those that are eco-friendly and help  preserve soil fertility.

Any farmer (individual, group, AMCOS, SACCOS, medium or  large-scale) who needs to buy or use techniques that  enhance farm productivity or crop yield can apply for this  loan. The bank's lending terms and conditions will apply.
